BIOL 4000 8 CREDIT AND 3 CREDIT

The 8.0-credit course requires students to conduct hands on research in the lab or field or perform in-depth in silico analyses of existing data sets. The student should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the biological topic.

The 3.0-credit course is critical literature review of a biological topic which must be completed in a single term (Fall, Winter or Summer).

Both courses require the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Biology.

Research Practicum

The course is intended only for majors in Biology (all streams), Biochemistry, Biophysics, Environmental Biology or Environmental Science – Life Science Stream.

Students are expected to commit to approximately 5-10 hours per week (on average) for one term.
